the sky over my desk, live

fig. 5a — the sky

the oldest fixation. this is the real sky over my desk right now, drawn from the clock and a star catalog. it shifts about a degree every four minutes — expand it and the stars answer back.

    margin notes

    • the indents run 0, 16 and 6 percent. set by eye until the negative space sat right, then locked.
    • dithered with my own package. hover it and it re-develops.
    • the arrow tilts 45° on hover. every external arrow on this site does.
    • eras, not dates. everything overlapped anyway.
    • corvus i built because me and the trenches needed it. parallel degree° because some ideas are better chased with a friend.
    • computed, not decorative. come back in six months and it'll be winter up there.
    • the dock at the bottom of the site plays from this shelf.
    • four are visible. the fifth is 1px. find it and we should talk.
    • the rev number is the git commit count, read at build time. nobody types it in.
    • the count carried over from the old site. the number remembers further back than the design does.
